Cash Flow UI Improvements ​

Overview ​

We've improved the Cash Flow section to provide better clarity and usability when managing your operating expenses and viewing financial reports. Additionally, Cash Flow is now accessible directly from the Admin Menu for easier navigation.

What's Changed ​

Cash Flow Added to Admin Menu ​

Cash Flow functionality is now directly accessible from the Admin Menu, providing quick access to:

  • Cash Flow reports and transaction tracking
  • Operating expense configuration management
  • Financial data analysis tools

Operating Expenses Configuration -- Now Date Range Independent ​

The Operating Expenses Configuration page now displays all your configured expenses regardless of the selected date range. This change recognizes that expense configurations are ongoing settings that should always be accessible for review and management, not historical records that need date filtering.

Benefits:

  • View all your expense configurations at once
  • Easily manage recurring expense settings without date restrictions
  • No confusion about "missing" configurations that fall outside the current date range

Improved Date Range Picker Placement ​

The date range selector has been relocated from the main navigation area to appear inline with page titles where date filtering is relevant.

Pages with date filtering:

  • Cash Flow Report -- filters transactions by date
  • Incurred Operating Expenses -- shows expenses within the selected period

Pages without date filtering:

  • Operating Expenses Configuration -- shows all configurations

Why These Changes Matter ​

Previously, the Operating Expenses Configuration page would only show configurations that fell within the selected date range, which could be confusing since these are settings that define how expenses are calculated, not the expenses themselves. Now you can always see and manage all your expense configurations while still being able to filter actual expense transactions by date when viewing reports.

Impact ​

No action required. These improvements are automatically available and won't affect your existing configurations or data.
