What Should I Expect After Onboarding ?

Welcome Aboard!

  • You have just been onboarded, you are raring to go … Now what?
  • The best thing you can do is to familiarize yourself with the system by checking out every single menu option
  • In the task bar at the top right of every screen, you will see a question mark icon
  • Clicking on the question mark will either
    • Take you directly to a knowledge base article relating to the topic on the screen, or
    • Give you a drop-down list of articles to choose from
  • Bear in mind that there are some screens and functions which cannot be accessed directly from the menu, but fear not:
    • Every knowledge base article will tell you if there is a further screen which cannot be accessed through the menu
    • And tell you how you can navigate to the further screen in question

Hmmm … This Looks A Bit Sparse …

  • Agreed. Some charts, some screens and some fields on some screens don’t seem to be populated.
  • That is because you first need to customize the system to your own specifications before your data truly springs to life!
  • Next, we’ll take you screen by screen and tell you what you should expect and what you need to customize to have fully featured screens
  • You do not need to use all the customization features if you feel you don’t need them, however, we are sure you will want to use most settings and customizations.  If not now, quite likely later when you realize what you are missing
  • Take your time. SellerLegend is a very versatile system. Don’t let yourself be overwhelmed.
  • Let’s get started!

Screen by Screen: What To Expect

All Screens

The Marketplace Dashboard

  • The four tiles at the top of the screen as well as the Sales History chart
    •  Both should be fully populated
    • However, remember that if you are in the 30 -day free trial period, we have only onboarded 3 months worth of your data
    • At the end of the trial, if you stay with us, we will onboard the rest of your data
    • You can elect to skip the remainder of your trial, pay for your first subscription immediately and we well then onboard the rest of your data
    • See Why Can I Only See 3 Months Of My Data
  • The Upcoming Restocks widget
  •  The Watchlist Summary widget
  • The Repeating Vs Onetime Customers widget
    • Should fully reflect the proportion of each customer segment for the selected marketplace
  • The My Accounts Widget
    • May show some weird times and dates
    • Do not worry, this will self-correct as SellerLegend processes the next data refresh
  • The Customer Segmentation Widget
  • The My Products Widget
    • Should accurately reflect the number of products and their status for the marketplace selected
  • The Best Sellers Widget
    • Should be fully populated with up to 10 of your best-selling products
  • The Promotions Widget
    •  Will be populated with all the promotion codes found in the orders for the marketplace and time period selected
    • There are likely to be promo codes you won’t recognize
    • This is because you have not customized the promo codes
    • See  how to customize promo codes in the Promotions Widget section of The Marketplace Dashboard knowledgebase article
  • The Returns By Disposition Widget
    • This widget may be empty if the date range set for the dashboard does not cover a period when you have had returns
  • Customizing the Dashboard
    • If there are superfluous widgets (for example, the Relative Performance By Marketplace widget in the case of single marketplace seller), or
    • If the position of the widgets is not to your liking, or
    • The widgets take up too much space, or
    • You want to color-code widgets
    • See How Do I Customize and Manage My Dashboards?

The Product Dashboard

  • The Product Comparative Data Widget
    • Will only show a history of units sold
    • Sales Rank, Buy Box and Price Histories are only collected from the date of onboarding
    • Shows the minimum value of Sales Rank.
  • The Product Financials Data Widget
    • Will mostly be empty or N/A, as you have not yet defined COGS for the products
    • Sales Rank, Buy Box and Price Histories are only collected from the date of onboarding
    • Average PPC/Day will be N/A, as no PPC data has been collected yet
  • The Product PPC Cost History Widget
    • Will be empty, as no PPC history data has been collected yet
  • The Product Refund Rate Widget
    • Will accurately reflect your refund proportions
  • The Segmentation (For Product) Widget
  • The Promotions Widget
    •  Will be populated with all the promotion codes found in the orders for the product and time period selected
    • There are likely to be promo codes you won’t recognize
    • This is because you have not customized the promo codes
    • See  how to customize promo codes in the Promotions Widget section of The Marketplace Dashboard knowledgebase article

The Inventory Screen

The PPC Dashboard and Costs Summary Per Product

The Monthly Valuation Screen

  • Unless you are very lucky, this screen is unlikely to be populated, as the data is collected from the 6th of the month at 11:00 AM (to give Amazon time to publish the data).
  • As Amazon are often missing their own deadlines, if no data is collected on the 6th, SellerLegend tries again every day until the 15th of the month.
  • See The Product Monthly Valuation Screen

The Orders Screen

  • The Watchlisted column will either be blank for Pending orders or always show a blue icon
  • This is because no customers have yet been watchlisted
  • See How Do I Add or Remove A Customer from A Watchlist?
  • As already allude to at the top of this article, the Internal Name, Product Group, and Tags columns will be empty, as none of these have been defined yet

The Settlement Periods Screen

The Sales Statistics Screen

The Customers List Screen

  • The Tier Name will be blank until you define the Customer Segmentation Rules
  • As already allude to at the top of this article, the Internal Name, Product Group, Tags, VAT and COGS columns will be empty, as none of these have been defined yet
  • The Profit column will be overstated, as no COGS have yet been defined

The Incurred Expenses Screen
