The Sales Statistics Screen – Dashboard Edition – Chart View

How To Get Here?

  • From the Menu
    • Sales–> Sales Statistics and click on the Chart View tab
    • Or, if you are on the By Date tab of the screen, clicking on the Chart View  tab just below the 4 colored tiles will bring you back to this screen

What is it for?

  • Allows a detailed graphical view of the most important sales statistical data, over a selected time period, sliced in different views
  • There are two versions of the Sales Statistics Screen – Dashboard Edition – Chart View
    • One showing aggregate (sum) data of ALL products combined. This version will show ‘Sales Statistics – All Products’ in the title.
    • One showing individual data for ONE product. This version will show ‘Sales Statistics – SKU / ASIN / Internal Name’ in the title.
  • This screen shows data for products which have had activity during the selected period only!
    • Activity relates to sales, or refunds or PPC costs during the period selected
  • Shows the most important sales data points
    • By Date, for all products combined, within your chosen period
    • By individual product, by date

  • The Sales Statistics screen is constituted of
    • Four colored tiles at the top of the screen showing selected sales KPI’s
    • A navigation bar which allows the selection of a preferred view of the sales statistics data
    • A date picker, which allows selection of a series of date periods
    • A table below the navigation bar, which reflects the data view predicated by your selection in the navigation bar

The Colored Tiles

  • The tiles reflect aggregate (sum) values pertaining to  ALL products with activity during the selected period
  • Gross Sales (Gross Revenue)
    • The sum of all sales for all the products with activity during the selected period
    • Please note that the impact of Refunds is already accounted for in Gross Sales
  • Net Revenue
    • Gross Sales minus sum of all Promo Amounts discounted for all the products with activity during the selected period
  • Orders
    • The number of orders placed for all products with activity during the selected period
  • Units
    • The number of units ordered for all products with activity during the selected period
  • Net Before COGS
    • The Gross Sales minus FBA Fees, Promo Amount, PPC Costs, VAT and Operating Expenses incurred for all products with activity during the selected period
  • Net Profit
    • Net Before COGS minus Cost Of Goods amount
  • PPC Costs
    • Advertising costs for all products with activity during the selected period
  • ROI (Return On Investment)
    • Aggregate ROI for all products with activity during the selected period
  • The Information Icon
    • Clicking on this icon will present a drop down showing a waterfall view of all the sales values and how they are calculated

The Navigation Bar

  • If you wish to view the old version of the Sales Statistics screen, click on the link next to ‘Looking for old version?’

The Date Picker

  • Use the date picker to select from any of the following periods
    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • 7 Days
    • 30 Days
    • 60 Days
    • 90 Days
    • This Month
    • Last Month
    • 3 Months
    • Last Year
    • Year to Date
    • One Year
    • Any custom date range

The Chart View

  • The Sales History Chart Legend
    • The legend at the left of the Sales History Chart is dynamic and will either show:
      • The sum of the date range values when the mouse is not resting on any bars in the chart area, or
      • The specific daily values for whichever bar you hover on in the chart area
  • The Sales History Chart
    • A stacked bar chart depicting the date range period set by the date picker
    • A dynamic chart legend at the left of the chart shows changing data points as you hover over the individual bars on the chart
    • Each bar in the chart represents one day
    • For each day (bar), there are three summary data series, one each for:
      • Revenue Summary, broken down into:
        • Promo Sales Revenue and
        • Non Promo Sales Revenue
      • Costs Summary, broken down into:
        • Promotions
          • The negative value of promotion revenue, i.e. how much was given away by the promotions
        • Cost Of Goods
        • Amazon Fees
          • The sum of all the Order Related Amazon fees (Fulfillment and  Referral fees)
          • Please note the Non-Order Related Amazon fees (for ex. Inbound Transportation Fees, Long Term Storage Fees … ) are not included
        • Taxes
          • Currently only includes Europe VAT (not yet US Sales Tax)
          • Right after onboarding, this value will be zero, until you have entered the VAT rules for the Marketplace and/or Products

        • PPC Costs
          • The sum of the daily PPC costs for all the products sold during a day/period
          • Right after onboarding, this value will be zero or very low, as SellerLegend has not yet accumulated any PPC Costs history

        • Operating expenses
      • Units, broken down into:
        • Number Of Orders received per day/period
        • Number Of Non Promo Units sold per day/period
        • Number Of Promotional Units sold per day/period
        • Number Of Refunds Received per day/period
    • The Revenue bar in the chart is a stacked representation of Promo Sales + non Promo Sales, each with a distinct color
    • The Costs bar in the chart is a stacked representation of Promotions + COGS + Fees + Taxes + PPC Costs + Operating Expenses each wit a distinct color
    • The Costs stacked bar is embedded in the Revenue stacked bar
    • To de-clutter the chart, the Units markers are not shown by default
    • You can show any of the units data points by clicking on the grayed squares next to the units legends
    • You can hide/reveal any of the twelve data points on this chart by un-clicking/clicking on the square next to the data point you want to hide/reveal
